The social media cell manages the online presence of an institute as well as its engagement across various social media platforms. Its main aim is to enhance the image of the institute by reaching out to a wider audience as well as to promote the various achievements and events happening at the institute. The cell acts as a facilitator among students, alumni and prospective students by helping them reach out to one another. At its core, the social media cell is dedicated to using social media platforms to connect with stakeholders and build a positive online reputation for the institute. It develops and shares various types of content, like text updates, images, videos, infographics, etc. to engage the audience. The cell also provides content for the website of the institute ensuring that it remains updated and relevant. It also monitors social media activity and collaborates from time to time with other social media cells of other institutions. It is due to the efforts of the cell that the relation with, and image of, the institute is treasured by the public.
