National Sports Day Celebration – 29th August 2025
Govt. College of Teacher Education, Tezpur, observed National Sports Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The event was organized to promote the importance of sports, fitness, and overall well-being among students.The programme commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Biswajit Baglary, followed by an inspiring speech from the Principal Mr. Ajoy Kandulna, who highlighted the role of sports inbuilding discipline, teamwork, and resilience. A motivational video showcasing India’s renowned sports icons was screened, adding to the spirit of the celebration.
A Poster Competition on the theme “Digital Era vs. Physical Fitness” formed the highlight of the event. Students displayed their creativity and awareness through impactful posters, and winners were awarded first, second, and third prizes, along with two consolation prizes. The programme was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Mr. Biswajit Baglary, whose efforts ensured the smooth and effective organization of the event. The celebration concluded with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, making the occasion a grand success. The institution extended its gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and contributors for
their active support in making the event both memorable and meaningful.
